Carly Overmire, LLMSW

Carly is a clinical therapist and licensed master social worker passionate about helping individuals find their footing in the world while building stability, resilience, and a sense of purpose. She works with teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and life’s many transitions. Carly believes therapy should feel like talking with a real person, a place where you’ll feel heard and challenged when it serves you.

Carly is EMDR-trained and believes that our past experiences have a way of showing up in the present in ways we don’t often realize. Grounded in a trauma informed lens, she tailors therapy to the client based on their goals, utilizing a range of practices including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, among others, to help clients understand their experiences and empower them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Her style is warm, collaborative, and refreshingly honest. Carly welcomes the messy and uncertain parts of being human as much as the moments of growth and celebration within the therapy space. She believes that insight and action, together, create change.  When it’s time to move from talking to doing, she’s comfortable being direct to help clients identify patterns, build practical strategies, and create a plan that supports the life they want to create.
