
Jeanice is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor serving individuals, couples, and families throughout Northern Michigan. She has been in private practice for more than 15 years and is an alumna of the National Health Service Corps. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of supporting clients from diverse backgrounds on their healing journeys toward greater wellness and balance.
Jeanice believes that healthy curiosity and the creation of a safe, supportive therapeutic space are essential foundations for healing. She approaches treatment from a whole-person perspective, collaborating closely with clients to identify their unique needs and goals. Her work integrates a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to help uncover the root causes of symptoms while equipping clients with practical strategies for long-term growth and resilience.
Her therapeutic approach includes Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-focused interventions, psychoeducation, and behavioral strategies designed to improve emotional tolerance and reduce symptoms such as anxiety, depression, impulsivity, and panic.
Jeanice has extensive training in attachment-based and trauma-informed modalities, including Brainspotting, EMDR, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She has experience treating dissociation, personality adaptations, developmental trauma, relational trauma, and complex trauma. In addition to her clinical work, she enjoys teaching, mentoring, and collaborating with fellow healing professionals.
She is currently an Approved Brainspotting Consultant and Certified Brainspotting Therapist, as well as an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and EMDR Certified Therapist. Jeanice also serves as a Consultant in Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy.
Outside of her professional life, Jeanice enjoys spending time with her family, exploring nature, reading, and listening to music.
