Jackie joins Mental Wellness Counseling as a mental health therapist intern while completing her master’s degree in social work at the University of Michigan. She is dedicated to creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered.
Jackie has experience working with individuals facing mental health crises, including suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, anxiety, depression, and the effects of domestic violence. She understands how difficult it can be when joy fades or when life’s responsibilities feel overwhelming, and she is honored to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with themselves and move toward healing.
Her approach begins with deep, empathic listening. Jackie believes that being truly heard can spark clarity, healing, and meaningful change. She offers a warm, grounded therapeutic space and draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build on their strengths and create lasting progress.
Jackie meets clients where they are, clarify what matters most, and move forward with confidence and self-understanding. She honors each person’s story and feels privileged to witness their growth and journey.
Above all, Jackie is committed to fostering a welcoming, supportive environment where every individual can explore what mental health, healing, and happiness mean for them.
