Michele is joining Mental Wellness Counseling as a mental health therapist intern while pursuing a master’s degree in clinical counseling . Michele has always been drawn to supporting others through times of change, loss, and growth. For over a decade, she worked closely with older adults and their families as they navigated the challenges of aging and late-life transitions. She also volunteered for seven years at a grief support and bereavement agency, offering space for individuals to process loss and find meaning in the midst of sorrow.
As a clinical counseling intern, Michele brings a warm and grounded presence to the therapeutic relationship. She believes we all have an inner capacity for healing and peace, especially when we feel seen, heard, and supported. Her approach is collaborative and compassionate, and she draws from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others, to help clients identify what’s working, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change. Michele is a DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) informed therapist.
Michele is passionate about working with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, identity exploration, relationship issues, postpartum concerns, and emotional overwhelm.
“Whatever brings you to therapy, I am honored to support you with curiosity, care, and respect.”
