Jordan Yarrington, LMSW

Jordan holds a Masters of Social Work Clinical License, after graduating from Ferris State
University with her Bachelors and Masters Degree. She is from rural Michigan, and has
experience working in the Community Mental Health system in Central Michigan. She has
trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,
Motivational Interviewing and Brief Strategic Family Therapy.

When Jordan is not working, she is a student with University of Kentucky pursuing her
Doctorate in Social Work to continue providing clinical skills and program development
within her home communities. She also enjoys spending her free time with her friends,
family and four cats.

Jordan’s primary approach to counseling is with the strengths-based perspective, as well
as holistic approaches. She utilizes skills obtained from CBT, Tf-CBT and Motivational
Interviewing with her clients, as she understands that they are the expects for their lives but
could use a helpful guide while obtaining stable mental health. She hopes to work within
the whole systems approach while working with an individual to ensure ongoing success
for her clients.
