Alecia Aronson, MA

Parent Coaching Specialist

Alecia has over twelve years of experience supporting adults in building positive relationships with children. She has a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Michigan University and has spent much of her career working with families and children to create meaningful and lasting change in the child’s behavior. Her belief, backed by research, is that changing a child’s behavior starts with changing how we as adults interact with that child.

Alecia has expertise in child development, challenging behaviors, trauma-informed practices, positive discipline, and coaching adults. She has worked with families of children with ADHD, ASD, other developmental delays or disabilities, trauma, and emotional regulation difficulties. She believes parents are a child’s most important teachers and influencers, and builds on the strengths of a family to help parents become the type of parents they want to be. Through judgement free support, she provides proven strategies and coaching to decrease challenging behaviors, teach and encourage positive behaviors, and guidance for becoming a more effective and joyful parent. Alecia is trained in Cognitive Coaching, Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Families, and Conscious Discipline.
